Valeria Mbango is the Director of Strategy, Projects, and Digital Transformation at the Bank of Namibia. She leads the Bank’s strategy formulation and implementation, oversees the project management office, and drives digital transformation efforts to advance the institution’s strategic objectives. Valeria also oversees the Innovation Hub, fostering financial innovation within the Bank.

Since joining the Bank in 2021, Valeria has built the Strategy, Projects, and Transformation function into a full directorate. Her diverse experience spans manufacturing, consulting, and financial services. Valeria holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, a Master’s in Project Management, and a postgraduate diploma in Futures Studies from Stellenbosch University.
